BIO 2011 Canadian Connection

The BIO International Convention was by all measures a huge success.  The Canadian delegation was once again the largest international delegation at BIO  – this year we were over 800 strong showcasing Canadian innovation on the international stage. We were pleased to include many Premiers, Ministers, Mayors and other leaders from our governments at BIO.

BIOTECanada brings Premiers and Ministers together at BIO to discuss building the bio-economy in Canada

The annual bio-economy roundtable at BIO has become a must attend event.  This year we welcomed Premier Dexter from Nova Scotia and at least 4 provincial Ministers from throughout Canada, who met with industry leaders and discussed the next opportunities for success as Canada grows its bio-economy.  The meeting featured a focused discussion on key opportunities to grow our industry while hearing from each of the political representatives about their efforts to keep the industry building in their respective provinces.  A brief report from the meeting will be generated prior to National Biotechnology Week. Contact Cate McCready for more information.
